Exquisite Interiors is the brainchild of Claire Descroizilles - an interior designer from Johannesburg, South Africa, with a strong preference for Modern Contemporary, with a dash of Art Deco to offset it.

Claire's work has been featured in a wide range of recognized media, chiefly among which are S. A. Home Owner, Interior Design Mag, and the lifestyle TV show and magazine, Top Billing.

Ideas and concepts

A great deal of time is spent coming up with ideas; editing, revising, and refining them; and then evaluating the results before we begin any project. Good design means assessing every concept for effectiveness.

Every element of each client’s design is given a detailed, tailored approach. This attention to detail insures that every idea and concept is consciously examined and polished to make every element beautiful.

Design strategy

Our design strategy is to access a client's needs and then to determine the what, why and how. Taking an immediate and long term view of the design purpose and function.

Customized design

Each client is assured of a unique design, due to the fact that each client is treated as an entirely blank canvas. A canvas that is rarely copied.

Installation phase

Once we reach installation phase, the client is kept informed of each development and although there my be delays from time to time, we keep you in the loop at all times.

About Me

Claire, a graduate of the Calder School of Interior Design began her career with a baptism of fire when she was asked to renovate the old Delancey's restaurant in the Thrupps Centre, in Illovo. The restaurant was featured in the Interior Design magazine for its innovative flair, design and colourful atmosphere. It was a task she took on boldly and her success is testament to her character and dedication in offering her clients a turnkey service. Claire has gone on to complete many projects over the past twenty years in the following industries: hospitality, office and commercial, residential, and recreational. 'Experience counts for more than a qualification and I have more than twenty years experience in this industry. I absolutely love it', said Claire.

Claire’s contemporary classic design style which makes use of neutral and earthy tones using lavish natural fabrics and textures has endeared her to many a wealthy client looking for a full interior service. Nevertheless, Exquisite Interiors does not only work on high-end projects. They will consider all budget and projects based on client's needs. Claire says: 'Listening to the client and giving them what they want, is our top priority, not the size of their wallet'.
